  Everything regarding our wedding planning went incredibly smoothly until it was time to choose the groom, groomsmen’s and ring bearer attire. Unfortunately, we didn’t have many options to choose from in regards to which store we chose due to many of the groomsmen being from out of town; it needed to be easy for them to go to their local store to get measured and pick up the suit. We went to a couple of places before settling on Jos. A Bank. My husband liked Jos. A Bank because he recently purchased a suit that was tailored very well. We both went into the store in Monmouth County, New Jersey and right from the start I began regretting the decision. The salesmen were rude and insistent on only showing us suits for purchase when we made it clear that we wanted to rent as most of the groomsmen do not wear suits regularly. The salesmen would not look at me when speaking with the both of us and only addressed my husband throughout the time we spent in the store. The suits were costly in comparison to the rental options, and the salesman was insistent on the purchase option. When we finally were able to view the rentals, we were shown a variety of tuxedos, again after we made it clear we wanted gray suits. We were finally shown the gray suit option, and we loved the color and were also assured that the ring bearer who wears about a size 10 in kids would be able to rent the suit as well. Immediately after showing us the suit the unpleasant salesman requested that we select all of the other options in a hurry, the vest, shoes, cufflinks, etc. He did not willingly show us options or photos of the options until I had to ask. Finally, we made all of our selections and put down a deposit for our wedding rentals. The salesman misspelled my husband’s name after attempts to correct him numerous times. We left that day, and I had felt like we made a poor decision using Jos. A Bank for our wedding. A couple of weeks later my husband stopped in after work to get measured and again another unpleasant experience. The salesman stated that we had ordered tuxedos and that he would be measured for the tuxedo, again, my husband had to tell them that we wanted the gray rental suit. Apparently, this turned into an issue but was seemingly resolved by the end of the visit, and it was confirmed, once again that we are renting the gray suits for our wedding. A few days later, my grandmother called to discussed the suit for the ring bearer, again he is about a size 10 in kids. She was informed by Jos. A Bank in Springfield Pennsylvania that Jos. A Bank does not do children’s suit rental but that he could rent a tuxedo, which would not match the suits. She was also informed that the group number that we were provided was incorrect, therefore having to use our last name and zip code which made the process even more challenging. She then called the Monmouth County Jos. A Bank where the suits were originally ordered and she was rushed off the phone and was informed that she would be getting a callback, which never happened. It was an incredibly poor experience from start to finish, though I am glad to say the men in our wedding party looked wonderful! The only positive I have to say is that Jos. A Bank does a good job at tailoring their suits, but that still does not make up for poor customer service.
